John A. "Butch" Thomas Jr., 68 of Ridley Park, PA died suddenly on July 19, 2011 at CCMC. Born to the late John A. Sr. and Philomena Swahl Thomas, he served in the navy during the Vietnam War. He was raised in resided in S.W. Phila, until the last 6 years when he resided in Ridley Park. Butch was a printer by trade as well as a painter. He belonged to the Local Union DC 33 out of Philadelphia, he enjoyed time with his family, listening to Elvis, and watching the ocean. He is preceded in death by his wife, the late Anna Ludwig Thomas who died in 2001. Survivors: Son, John A. Thomas III of Ridley Park, PA, daughter, Patricia Paradesis of North Philadelphia, PA, 1 Brother, Eddie Thomas, 3 sisters Bunny Garrett, Joanne Murphy and Ellen Gavin, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Justin, Dina, Georgia, and John Patrick and 4 great-grandchildren, Courtney, A.J., Ramir, and Gianna.
