Carol A. Muccini a 48 year resident of Port Chester, NY passed away on September 27, 2012. Born in New York City on February 12, 1937, Carol was the daughter of Herman Duehne and Grace Meyerhoff Duehne. She graduated Scarsdale High School, Class of 1955. After attending Boston University and Eastern Medical School, Carol became a medical assistant and X-Ray technician working at Midtown Hospital in New York City. She was an active volunteer at Meals on Wheels, where she was honored as the 1988 Meals on Wheels Volunteer of the Year, a quilting instructor at Rye Seniors and Cub Scout den mother. Carol was a strong loving mother and grandmother who was dealt with some disabilities in life but always met the challenge to overcome them. She married her husband of 52 years Joseph G. Muccini on June 4, 1960. Carol is survived by her husband Joseph, one son Kenneth and wife Sharri, one grandson Nicholas, a brother Richard and wife Florabelle and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM. Religious services will be held on Sunday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Greenwood Union Cemetery on Monday October 1 at 10 AM. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
