Robert N. Lambert

LAMBERT, Robert N., 87, formerly of Hope, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at Kent Hospital.    He was the husband of the late Ethel (Luther) Lambert.  Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Nelson) Lambert.  He was a resident of Hope most of his life.   Mr. Lambert was a repairman for New England Telephone Co. for forty years before retiring in 1981; a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran served as a B-17 pilot; a former P.O.W.; recipient of the distinguished Flying Cross Air Medal and Purple Heart; a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of the Hope-Jackson Fire Department, where he was past president.   He leaves a daughter, Charlotte Lambert of Daytona Beach, FL; two sons, Robert Lambert of Tacoma, WA and Richard Lambert of Warwick; a sister, Phyllis Balducci in FL; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.   His funeral and interment with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Information and condolences please visit:

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Lambert I enjoyed the time I had with Mr.Lambert and Mrs.Lambert. My prayers are with them, and also with the family. They will be truly missed they were the nicest people. God Bless

RobertRichard: I am sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with your mother in the front office of HQ, and lived thru your careers. I also heard of your exploits from your father while at Campanini's. He was proud of both of you. The village of Hope will not be the same.
