David S. McCartney 48 of Springdale died Monday January 25, 2010 at Alle-Kiski Medical Center surrounded by his loving family, following a long battle with cancer. David was born November 27,1961 in New Kensington to Joyce Ziencik and the late Bradley McCartney. He was a 1979 graduate of Springdale High School. He worked as a plumber for 10 years before working at Giant Eagle in Harmar for 25 years.
David enjoyed collecting sports cards,watching his Pittsburgh teams play and especially tending to his fish pond.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 in SPRINGDALE at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC. where services will be held on Friday at 11am by Pastor Wayne Schar of the Springdale United Methodist Church .Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery,Harmar Twp.
