Robin & David and family

You all have been in my thoughts and prayers. Let your memories of your Mom bring you peace. I have many fond memories of your Mom. Back when we were in high school she would always have dinner ready for us and then send us out the door to cheer at the ballgames. I remember her listening to all of us ramble on about what had happened at school. I can still see you Mom's face when Julie surprised us all with the new word she learned at school. She always made me feel so at home. She has put up a long hard fight but is now at peace and pain free. She was a special lady and will be missed by many. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Robin

To Ted and the girls-- A good chunk of my child hood memories include times spent at the Hollembeak's home! I remember your home as well as I do my own childhood home. Much of that is due to the wonderful home environment your Mom created. It was a welcoming, friendly, fun environment! That is a wonderful tribute to your Mom...that she was such a wonderful, friendly person, that she created that type of a home...where everyone felt welcome. My thoughts and prayers include each of you as you deal with the loss of Betty. She will be missed!

Ted, Janie, Tammy, Lisa, Angie and Julie~ Your mother will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a second mother to me as a child, a best friend to my mom and a wonderful neighbor to my family. I have so many special memories that I cherish. From the spice cake she always made for Julie and my birthday to her slush at Christmas time...the list goes on and on. I hope your memories can fill the emptiness you must be feeling right now. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. With love, Anne, David, Mary Jane and Alison

To serve God, to laugh and cry and laugh in spite of it all, to have your priorities in order, to hold a child's heart with love and their hand with encouragement, to learn from the old and give more than you took, to appreciate the touch of the Master's Hand, to see the best in others by being the best in yourself, to serve others, to give all you can from your heart not just your bank account, to pray daily, to live contentedly, to keep the faith, to fight the fight and walk the walk, to leave the world a better place than you see it around you, to know that you have made a difference in at least one life, that my friend is honor, integrity, trust, success, the purpose in a life well-lived. LaTourelle Betty knew the purpose of a well-lived life and demonstrated it throughout her life. Hold those memories close forever. With love, LeAnn and Ron Kassing

Dear Ted: The problem with living so far away is that you never have the chance to be around when an old high school friend could use a helping hand..I got the DM today and saw the sad news. Had hoped to see you both at the 50's reunion in Jville but learned there that Betty was not doing well. I always looked forward to seeing you both at reunions, Betty always had a sparkle about her when she walked in a room and what a kind personality. Dee and I will think and pray for you both in the coming months. Take care old classmate. Jim Grover
