Jack “Klondike” Meaders: Mt. Airy, Georgia Mr. Jessie Jackson “Klondike” Meaders, age 49, of 416 Joe Smith Road, Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Stephens County Hospital. A son of Mrs. Ferne Simmons Meaders and the late Jackson Thomas Meaders, he was born August 23, 1963 in Habersham County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was a concrete truck driver for many years, was a member at New Hope Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his mother, Ferne Simmons Meaders of Mr. Airy, Georgia, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and William Fisher of Clarkesville, Georgia and Teresa and Glenn House of Mt. Airy, Georgia, brother and sister-in-law, Danny “Tom” Meaders and Sheila Meaders of Toccoa, Georgia, nieces, Erin Higgins of Clarkesville, Georgia and Alisha Cantrell of Gadsden, Alabama, and great nephew, Desmond Jackson Higgins. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013, 3:00 PM, at New Hope Baptist Church with The Reverend David Sosebee officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and will please assemble at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home by 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Erik Lunsford, Eddie Powers, Dave Gray, Mike Copeland, Dennis Groves, Brian Dobbs, and Kenneth Garrett. J.R. Rector will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening.
