Jack S. Dill, age 48, of Freedom, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at his home.
Born June 2, 1961 in Meadville, he was son of the late Charles & Shirley (Wygant )Dill.
He was a 1979 Meadville Area High School graduate and a graduate of the Harrisburg Area Community College School of Auctioneering. Jack had a lifelong love collecting antiques even digging in dumps for old bottles when he was ten years old.
For the past 17 years, Jack was the President of J.S. Dill Auctions Inc, in Zelienople. He had a passion for life, adventure, family and his Great Danes, Zander & Lola
He is survived by his partner, Bob Hanks of Freedom; 2 sisters Pamela Fickes & her husband, Jack of Pittsburgh, Bonnie Young & her husband, Walter of Meadville; 4 nephews Todd Young and Justin Young, both of Meadville, Brian Fickes & his wife, Lisa of Virginia Beach, VA, Marc Fickes & his wife, Elizabeth of Pittsburgh; one great nephew, Nathan Fickes of Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday March 12th at Boylan Funeral Home, Inc., 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 13th at Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Harmony with Rev. Timothy J. Sweet, officiating. Everyone, please meet at church.
Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of Western PA
