Raymond James Hartmann, age 92, of Zelienople, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople. Born May 27, 1921 in Homewood, he was the son of the late Raymond Phillip and Bess M. (Knox) Hartmann. Mr. Hartmann was an active member of Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church at Passavant Retirement Community and was an associate member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Pittsburgh. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1945. Mr. Hartmann was the owner and operator of the Ray Hartmann Tool Sharpening Service in Baldwin for many years. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two loving children, Donna L. Kopper of MD and Scott D. Hartmann of CT; his two brothers, Fred R. Hartmann of NY and Bob Hartmann of NY; his two grandchildren, Jennifer L. Loomis and Michael J. Kopper and his two precious great-granddaughters, Abigail Lynn Loomis and Allison Ann Loomis. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hartmann was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores E. (Burg) Hartmann. Services & Interment will be held privately by Mr. Hartmann's family. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 219 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople.
