Gilly was our best friend. He was always there to help or just visit. We have many memories and had a lot of fun. He will be greatly missed. We were lucky to have such a great friend. We will never have another friend as good as Gilly !

To the family of Mike Kopel - I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I think back to our high school days, and I remember Mike being quiet (for the most part), with a sense of humor, hanging with the other "farm boys" in the halls! He had an infectious smile! May memories of Mike stay with you, and God bless you all!

Good friends are hard to make , but easy to loose .

I met Gilly through my son-in-law Peter Schmoll and My daughter Jo. Gilly had a heart of gold, and was always willing to help if he could. I remember he came out to my farm and mowed for me, refusing payment when it was offered. He spent a lot of time with Peter and Jo. His death has saddened many people, and he will certainly be remembered and missed by them. My sympathies to his family and to his very close friends. Lila and Mark Kapping

I met gilly when i was young, through my mom, Jo, and step dad, Pete. I remember Gilly was the 1st person to let me drive. Going to his farm and sitting in the hot tub. Going to work at the shop and he was there helping and joking around. He would come to our house to visit and play games with us girls. Cayson always enjoyed calling you after he was done helping Grandpa Pete with chores. My thoughts and prayers, as his family and friends go through this hard time! Gilly will br greatly missed!

I met Gilly though my mother, Jojo and also my step-father Peter. Gilly was always at our house for dinner, supper, and just to visit us. He use to spend time with my sisters and I. I remember when I was around 7 and he cut my hair. It will always be one of those memories that will bring a smile to my face. Gilly was a great guy and will be truly missed! Prayers go out to his family and friends.
