Dacano Dakota Arno
September 29, 1995 - June 3, 2013
Dover-Foxcroft - Dacano “Cano” Dakota Arno, 17, passed away tragically on Monday, June 3, 2013, in Sebec. Born September 29, 1995, in Bangor, he was a junior at Foxcroft Academy. Dacano attended youth services every Wednesday night at the Charleston Pentecostal Church. He loved playing basketball, running, bike riding, Man hunt and doodling cat pictures, but his all time favorite was skipping classes. He had volunteered at the Center Theater for many years. One of his favorite things he liked to do was sneak out at night in the winter after a storm and shovel the neighborhood yards with his brother, when no one would suspect it was them. He had an amazing sense of humor that was infectious to all and a smile that could melt a heart. He was always lending a helping hand.
Dacano is survived by his parents, Jody L. Arno, Kirt Stockley, and Ross Merrill; sister, Aspen Victoria Maquera; twin brother, Darango Denver Arno; brothers Kody, Dylan and Kameron Stockley; and grandparents, Pam and Steve Arno. He is also survived by his aunt, Carla Arno; uncle, Toby Arno; and many, much loved cousins. With much love he left many, many close friends behind and his girlfriend, Brittany Adkins.
A celebration of his life will be held 5-9pm Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Kiwanis Park, Park Street, Dover-Foxcroft. Friends and family are invited to share happy memories of Dacano. Memorial contributions for the Arno family may be sent to Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union, PO Box 507, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.

Dale & Tina WhiteI already miss you being foolish when walking by our house on the way to FoxBrooks Our swing set will miss you as will we.
Julie Everett McGeeThe last line of one of my favorite books is, "and then like a thief, death stole him." That is how I felt when I heard about your Dacono. He was too young. I'm so sorry. I don't know if you are religious as its been years since I've seen you but I have seen the strength faith provides for believers in times like this and have admired it. Frankly, I've always been on the fence and believed that God, in all his omnipotence, stands by helplessly when a tragedy such as this occurs (another thought stemming from the same book). But I do believe he's there to welcome all gentle, kind, loving souls - and from all I've read it sounds like that is just the type of boy you raised. My deepest condolences. Xo
Dave & Carol RobinsonOur thoughts are with you Jody and want you to know our shoulders are too.

Melanie RichardsI look forward to when theses scriptures come to and I am sure you do too, (John 5:28) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice
(Revelation 21:4-6) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” 6 And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Al′pha and the O·me′ga, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the fountain of the water of life free."
Cathy CodyDacano: I miss your smiling face that regardless of what was happening could always make me smile. When you were younger I couldn't tell you and Durango apart and then you would cut your hair and I would be okay for a little while. You accepted people for who they were and that my friend is a gift. I know you are with HIM and that you are well. May your friends grow from your strength and love. God Bless!

MadiDeclared gone at the scene
His temperature had dropped many degrees.
Pale body, blue lips
No feelings at the finger tips.
Life for him was ephemeral
But had so many memories
Lost thoughts, untold stories.
The affinity he had, for causing a laugh
Is now gone, broken in half.
His name plastered on the biweekly
Seeing him in everything I do, bleakly.
It’s effecting, effective, every where I go
It’s hurting, hurt, the people I know.
This contagious sadness spreading like fire
For he is someone I will always admire.<3
(Poem written by me, rest in sweet peace Dacano<3)
