Cindy (Hoekenga) DeanBeckman Family,
So sorry to hear about Rene's passing. I got to see her a few years ago when Derek was home and it brought back a lot of fond memories. I too remember sitting around the kitchen table playing cards, Crystal Lake and going to the basketball games when Tom was playing. Thinking of you all at this time.
Ann and Randy HerrygersPlease accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Irene--she always had a kind word to say to us all those years we watched our son and her grandson play sports together. What a positive person she was even when the boys didn't always win or play their best. We have missed seeing her but you can rest assured that she has found happiness in her eternal resting place.
SylMrs. Beckman was the first teacher I had when my family moved to Shelby. She gave me a lot of confidence. I recall I was scared about the move but Mrs. Beckman instilled confidence in me and taught me a lot. I can honestly state that of all the teachers/professors I ever had she is in the top five. I know she is in heaven.
PS....Thank goodness for the confidence Mrs. Beckman gave me because I needed it for Mrs. Montgomery's class the following year.
