Obituary
Vivian Nola Strabele, 90, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at Independence House in Fostoria. She was born September 29, 1921 in Hicksville, Ohio to the late Reuben E. and Clela Mae (Green) Fry. She married the late Harold Strabele on June 17, 1940 in Paulding, Ohio. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara Ann (Matthew) Weisman, Elyria; son, Lester (Linda) Strabele, Fostoria; brother, Richard (Donna) Fry, Woodburn, IN., sister, Catherine (Donald) Hissong , Ft. Wayne, IN; three grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Strabele, Tammy Weisman, and Michele (Scott) Wasserman; and three great grandchildren, Dylan and Megan Strabele, and Spencer Wasserman. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Jo Strabele, five brothers, Virgil, Paul, Robert, Donald, and Dale Fry, and two sisters, Opal West and Dorothy Haver. Vivian was a machine operator for the former Bendix retiring in 1983 after 32 years of service and enjoyed reading and crocheting. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline S., Fostoria, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday with an hour of visitation prior to the service, Pastor Russ Nelson, Presiding. Interment will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
