"Mutt" Roth(GAINES) Lester H. “Mutt” Roth, age 92 of Ridge Road, died 10/17/2014 in The Villages of Orleans following an illness of several months. He was born 7/21/1922 in Ridgeway to Fred and Lettie(Miller)Roth and was a life-long resident of this area. Mr. Roth was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII and a member of the Sheret Post American Legion. Mutt drove Tractor Trailer for Tyler Trucking in Oakfield until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and was the long-time Caretaker of Otter Creek Cemetery…taking great pride in the upkeep and maintenance of that space. Following his retirement, he kept busy with his woodworking-making tables and refinishing furniture. Mr. Roth was predeceased by his brothers: Leon, Fred Jr., Arnold and a sister Patricia Shenberger.
